4. You’re a parent of a baby or toddler and have safety doubts:

  • ❌ Unsure if your baby or toddler is too young to start swimming?
  • ❌ Worried about water temperature, hygiene, or qualified instructors for baby swim?

Frequent Asked Question FAQ

What should I do if I'm afraid of water?

Don't worry! Our Coaches are specially trained and will guide you patiently, helping you gradually adjust to the water environment and overcome your fear of water

At what age is it suitable to start learning how to swim?

There isn’t a single “perfect” age to begin learning how to swim, as it largely depends on each child’s unique development and comfort in the water. At RNJ Swim School, we provide water survival courses for babies, toddlers, and adults — catering to individuals from 6 months to 99 years old. Each course is designed to suit the age and skill level of the learner, with a strong emphasis on water safety and building swimming abilities.

What is the duration of the course and what is the maximum group size?

Our basic swimming courses are taught in small groups of 6-8 people, with each session lasting 45 minutes. The toddler water safety courses are taught in even smaller groups of 3-4, with each session lasting 30 minutes. The competitive training and lifeguard training courses are one-hour sessions and can accommodate up to 40 students.

Do you accept students with special needs or disabilities?

While our coaches may not have the specialized expertise to support students with special needs in a group setting, we kindly suggest considering private lessons for more personalized attention. These lessons can be tailored to meet individual needs. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements, and we will do our utmost to accommodate you and ensure a safe and effective learning experience.

What equipment do I need to bring?

Please bring your own swimsuit, towel, and toiletries. Additionally, we have other swimming equipment available in our pool area, such as kickboards and more.

How long does it take to learn how to swim?

It depends on the individual, but our teaching methods help most students build confidence in the water and master basic skills within a few lessons.

5 Swimming Tips for Kids & Adults

  • Don’t Rush the Basics

Whether you’re 5 or 50, start by getting comfortable putting your face in water and blowing bubbles. It builds trust and calmness.

  • Focus on Good Body Position

Keep your body flat like a plank. A proper horizontal position makes swimming easier and saves energy—no need to fight the water.

  • Small Kicks, Big Difference

Use gentle, quick kicks from the hips (not knees). It helps you move forward smoothly, without tiring out your legs.

  • Breathe Easy, Stay Relaxed

Exhale underwater, inhale above. This simple habit reduces panic and makes swimming feel effortless.

  • Always Swim with Proper Guidance

A certified coach helps kids and adults correct mistakes early, boost confidence, and stay safe in the pool.
